Souther Thailand urged to conserve energy
THAILAND : -- Energy consumption remains high with weekend use peaking 2,308 megawatts,EGAT urges southerners to save energy.
EGAT urged south residents to conserve more energy by using three recommendations.
Turning off unused bulbs,turning off one air conditioner and adjusting the temperature of the air conditioner up to degree celsius if in use.
All power plants have been operating as usual and EGAT has purchased energy from Malaysia to prevent shortages during maintenance.
Industrials sectors are also suggest to adjust their working hours,that will help to save more energy consumtion by up to 200 megawtts.
EGAT urging residents in the south to help save energy during the shutdown maintennance of Malaysia-Thailand joint Development Area (JDA)'s A18 block.
If these could be heed, ensure and sufficient energy supply for the region during the gas supply suspension period and avoid power blackout if consumption exceeded the megawatts at 7:22PM on saturday.
