The meeting was to strengthen greater cooperation on economic and trade in preparation for entry into the AEC.

The meeting also gave Gen Prayuth the opportunity to clarify the actions of the NCPO in dislodging the political deadlock in Thailand.

He also touched on improving tourism between both countries and stated that the NCPO was planning to send representatives for a formal visit to Cambodia in the foreseeable future.

General Tea Banh stated that the Cambodian understood the motives of the NCPO and praised its actions in defusing the political situation.
