Thai to sale 18 million tons of rice in three years



THAILAND : - July 11 2014 The Foreign Trade Department (FTD) schedule to sell out 18 million tons of rice in government stocks within three years.

The inspection are conducted by 100 teams, each of which consists of between six and 10 people chosen from military and police.

Official viewing including agencies such as the Public Warehouse Organisation and the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives in Thailand.

Duangporn Rodphaya said, the FTD newly appointed director-general, the government rice stocks will be sold mainly through four channels, general auction, government-to-government, direct sales and the Agricultural Futures Exchange of the country.

Thai rice sales will begin next month with 500,000 tons to be sold monthly she added.
