Junta Agrees To Extend Free Bus And Train Services
BANGKOK : -- The National Council for Peace and Order today accepted to extend the free bus and train services for another six months from August 1 until end of January next year in order to alleviate the financial burden of the low income-earners.
The NCPO also to extend the charge excise on tax cut for diesel by another month until August 31 pending a decision on energy restructure by the Ministry of Energy.
The charge excise on tax cut for diesel will render the Excise Department a loss of about 9 billion baht in revenue each month.
The department has suffered revenue loss of about 336 billion baht since the excise tax cut was introduced in April 2011.
