Thai M79 shooter arrested




BANGKOK :  The suspected shooter, 31-year old Narongsak Plai-aram, was arrested at the Sooksabai apartment in Nonthaburi on Thursday after he failed to report  at  the National Council for Peace and Order.

Police have arrested Narongsak Plai-aram who allegedly fired M79 grenades into protesters during the anti-government protests by the People’s Democratic Reform Committee earlier this year. 

Police added that Narongsak fired M79 grenades at PDRC protesters at Shinawatra 3 building on Vibhavadi Rangsit road on March 7 and at Sawankhaloke road on March 29 this year.  He was also responsible for firing M79 grenade at the office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission at the government complex in Chaengwattana on 27March..

He confessed  received the war weapons from a man at the Imperial World Lat Phrao and was paid 3,000-4,000 baht for each assignment.
