Thai vendors accept to relocate from Klong Lod
BANGKOK : The Metropolitan Administration has finally regained the pedestrian’s pavements at Klong Lod behind the Supreme Court’s building from more than 900 vendors decided to move.
The Supreme Court asked the National Council of Peace and Order to help them regain the pavements at Klong Lod behind the Supreme Court which have been turned into night market, occupied by some 900 vendors for years and the BMA has been unable to evict the vendors.
Advisor to Bangkok governor, Pol Maj-Gen Wichai Sangkhapong, and army officials held a final discussion with 14 representatives from the vendors to relocate to four trading locations that has been arranged for them.
The four locations are Chatuchak 2 market, Sanam Luang 2 market, opposite Bon Mache in Prachachoen area, and a market opposite Ratburana district office.
