Power plant protest shoots himself

RAYONG :  Suthi Atchasai, the Environmental activist and leading protesters against Rayong power plant construction, shot himself inside his car.

Chief of Rayong police Pol Col TanawatbTiraruangchotchai said on Wednesday morning that Suthi  shot himself with his own .38 revolver on the head inside his green pickup  parked inside his home in Rayong at 3.00 a.m. today.

Investigation revealed  that the environmental activist walked up to see his mother in the kitchen, and later  went out to sit on his truck.

His mother said there was no murder attempt as there was nobody during the shooting and believed her son took his own life because  of  stress.

She added, It was a suicide.
