The National Anti-Corruption Commission will submit to the National Council for Peace and Order
THAILAND: -- (NACC) Ordered three sets of measures and recommendations to tackle corruption in government bureaucracy, said NACC secretary-general Sansern Poljiak today.
The first set of measures and recommendations was already acknowledged by the previous government but implementation is yet to start by relevant agencies, he said.
Then the first set covers the followings: the Bangkok Mass Transport Authority’s project to procure 2,183 NGV-fuelled buses; the water management project to prevent flooding; appointments to sit in the boards of state enterprises; lottery quota system and distribution system; lack of transparency in the appointments of senior officials; illegal migrant labour and measures to prevent corruption in government projects.
The second set concerns possible corruption in the infrastructure development mega projects; personnel management and reshuffle of senior police officers in the three southernmost provinces and four districts of Songkhla province and corruption in the encroachment of waterways.
And the final set involves illegal encroachment of forest reserves, national parks and wildlife sanctuarites; prevention of policy corruption by political parties and assets examination of election candidates before they are given political portfolios.
