Travel Advisory For Thais Planning To Visit Ebola-Spreading African Countries



BANGKOK : -- The Foreign Ministry has issued  an advisory to Thais who wish to visit African countries where the deadly Ebola virus is spreading.

Advisory recommends all Thais to avoid visiting the countries where there is an outbreak of Ebola virus until the situation has improved; follow up the outbreak from World Health Organisation’s website www.who.int/csr/disease/ebola/en or the Thai Public Health Ministry’s website http://beid.ddc.moph.go.th

 If the trip to the affected area cannot be avoided, they must register their travel itineraries the in-bound and out-bound flights, lodgings and phone numbers with the Thai embassy in Dakar, Senegal.

At home, all tourists and visitors from countries where Ebola virus is spreading, are subjected to screening at Suvarnabhumi international airport. 

They are required to fill in questionaire forms asking about their travel plans and their general health conditions before they are allowed to enter Thailand.
