Police Will Seek Extradition Of Ms Kritsuda

BANGKOK : -- Police will ask the Office of the Attorney-General to seek the extradtion of red-shirt activist Ms Kritsuda Kunasen wanted on charge of having in possession war weapons.

Pol Gen Somyos Poompanmuang, deputy national police chief, said Sunday that after having a recent video clip of Ms Kritsuda, aka Poen, he believed that she had escaped the country and was taking refuge somewhere.

A warrant for her arrest has been issued by the Criminal Court, he said that the Thai Interpol would translate the court’s arrest warrant in English and have the translated copy sent to the OAG to start the process of extradition.

Ms Kritsuda is taking refuge in a country which has not signed an extradition treaty with Thailand, Pol Gen Somyos said that the Foreign Ministry would use other means to have her extradited back to Thailand to face the charge.

Out of a total of 29 people facing arrests on war weapons possession charges, most of them have been arrested except for 7-8 others, including Ms Kritsuda.
